Who We Are

Fixation is proud to be part of Wex Photo Video

Fixation is a photo and video solutions centre based in London. Specialising in offering high quality repairs, rentals, and sales, the company was founded in 1988 by Mike Allen with the company of Mick Edwards.

Since then, Fixation evolved and incorporated other brands into its range of services, providing technical support to professional photographers and organisations.

Fixation is part of a larger group, operating under the umbrella of Wex Photo Video, a leading retailer of photography and video equipment in the UK.

Our team counts with the expertise of 12 technicians, 6 customer services, 5 sales experts, who offer a comprehensive range of products and services, which meet the diverse needs of photographers and videographers. Our main site in Vauxhall – London is home to our repairs workshop. Our test equipment mirrors the main manufacturers’ workshops, allowing them to use Fixation as an overflow. This allowed us to become Authorised Service Centres for high-end brands.

Any repairs destined for Fixation can be dropped off at a number of Wex stores located in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.

Dedicated to professional photographers and filmmakers our sales team are experts in Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm and Panasonic camera systems making sure our customers have the right tool for their next job whether a camera, lens or inspiration.

Expert Repairs

Workshop

Our workshop is a major operation with 15 technician’s workbenches, thousands of spare parts from large lenses to tiny screws, and a test room full of bespoke calibration and testing equipment supplied by the manufacturers to guarantee repair accuracy.

On each of my 3 visits to Fixation London I have been very impressed by their professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness. My first visit required a repair to my Canon 5D & 1-400 Lens. On completion the insurance company refused to cover. Without being asked Fixation contacted the company and the matter was resolved. My 2nd visit was a 1 to 1 training session for canon r. This was an excellent 1 hour session which resolved all my queries. The third visit resolved my 5D firmware issues. I wish I had found them years ago. Thank you to all staff and Greg in particular.
